Grendel, a monster who ate people and a creature that took people apart and licked their blood, died after Beowulf ripped his arm off. He was 99 years old. He was born in the misty fen where werewolves, vampires, and other fearsome creatures live. He attended Cronatur, a school that taught monsters how to terrorize people. Everyone celebrated his death with joy.

Grendel will be buried near the misty fen. The minister of the Geats said that anyone who is sad about Grendel's death should bring flowers to Grendel's mother.
